Fair Usage Policy

Fair Usage Policy (FUP)

Last Updated: 17 January 2026

This Fair Usage Policy (“FUP”) outlines how resources are allocated and used across services provided by Done 5 Technologies Networks (“Done 5 Technologies”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The purpose of this policy is to ensure stable performance, security, and fairness for all customers on our shared infrastructure.

This policy applies in conjunction with our Terms of Service (TOS) and Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

1. Fair Usage Principle

Our hosting plans are designed to support normal website operation for individuals, businesses, and organizations. Resources are shared fairly so that no single customer negatively impacts others.

Excessive or abusive usage that disrupts service quality is not permitted.

2. Disk Space & File Usage

Hosting services are intended for website-related files only.

The following are not permitted:

  • Using hosting as a backup or file storage service
  • Storing large archives, media dumps, or unrelated data
  • File distribution repositories or mirror services

If non-website files exceed 70% of total disk usage (by size or file count), the account may be considered in violation of this policy.

3. Bandwidth & Traffic Usage

Bandwidth allocations are based on typical website usage patterns.

  • Accounts approaching 80% bandwidth usage will receive an automated notification
  • If limits are exceeded, services may be temporarily suspended
  • Additional bandwidth must be purchased if higher usage is required

We do not automatically bill for overages without customer consent.

4. CPU, Memory & Process Limits

To maintain platform stability, the following limits apply:

  • No single process may use more than 90% of one CPU core for extended periods
  • Total CPU usage may not exceed 200% across two cores for sustained durations
  • Excessive concurrent processes may be limited or terminated

Accounts causing repeated high load may be throttled, suspended, or required to upgrade.

5. Database & Script Usage

Applications and scripts must be optimized and efficient.

Prohibited activities include:

  • Poorly coded scripts causing excessive queries
  • Infinite loops or runaway processes
  • Excessive cron jobs or scheduled tasks

Databases generating abnormal load may be restricted.

6. Email Usage Limits

Email services are provided for legitimate business communication.

  • Bulk emailing or newsletter distribution must follow anti-spam laws
  • High-volume email sending may require a dedicated email solution
  • Accounts causing mail server reputation issues may be suspended

7. Inodes & File Counts

Each hosting plan includes a maximum inode (file) limit.

  • Excessive file creation can degrade server performance
  • Accounts exceeding inode limits may face restrictions
  • Cleanup or plan upgrades may be required

8. Resource Monitoring & Enforcement

Done 5 Technologies actively monitors resource usage.

If excessive usage is detected:

  • Customers may be notified to reduce consumption
  • Temporary limits may be applied
  • Accounts may be suspended if issues persist

Repeated violations may result in permanent termination.

9. Upgrade Path

We encourage customers with growing resource needs to upgrade to:

  • Higher-tier hosting plans
  • VPS or dedicated servers

Our team can assist in selecting the most suitable solution.

10. Policy Modifications

This Fair Usage Policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
